The City of Roanoke Redevelopment and Housing Authority (RRHA) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Site Manager at our Bluestone Park/ Hunt Manor locations. In this position, the employee will manage the daily routine of running a public housing rental office. The Assistant Site Manager will effectively interact with individual residents and exercise independent judgment in dealing with daily problems by ensuring that all requests for action or information are furnished to the Site Manager in a timely manner.

Typical duties include but are not limited to receiving/distributing mail, answering the office phone, taking messages, completing data entry tasks, filing documents, preparing general correspondence for the Site Manager's review and signature, showing units, screening applicants, and maintaining reports with strict deadlines.

Requirements Include:

  • Possession of an Associate's Degree in business or a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible work experience in administrative support.
  • Possession of a valid Virginia Driver's license and a driving record acceptable to RRHA and its insurance carriers.
  • Any combination of experience and/or training which would afford the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities that meet the requisites for this position.
  • Experience in Office Management and/or Property Management is preferred, but not required.
